User account

When you register, you'll automagically get a verification email to, well... verify your email. Sorry for the hassle, but his is an attempt to thwart the spambots that keep signing up. Once verified, you will be able to make your own posts and comment on the posts of others. We don't share your information with anyone (and in fact, when you enter your email address it is obfuscated). See our privacy policy. The required fields are marked with an asterisk. Make sure you check your spam filters so your verification email isn't blocked.

Account information
Your preferred username; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores.
A valid e-mail address. All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.
Provide a password for the new account in both fields.
Group e-mail settings
Allows you to opt-out of group e-mails from privileged users. Note that site administrators are able to include you in mass e-mails even if you choose not to enable this feature, and the ability to opt-out may be removed by the administrator at any time.
