My buddy Matt and his brother (also the creators of Tarlickers and the Sage Comics member comic Gun Baby) won the August contest at Zuda! If you haven't checked them out yet, do it now!
I'm familiar. A friend's little brother has it, and another friend's father. She says he copes by asking himself in every situation, "What would a human do?"
I don't think Seth's problem is severe enough to be full-blown Asperger's, but hmmm... I would like to address the issue of mental illness at some point. Both Shan and I are bipolar and have ADD, though, so those are the ones I'd feel most comfortable tackling.
Kit, of course, has ADD--In one strip we even have another character urging her to take her Ritalin (because more people have heard of Ritalin than Adderall).
Oh, and to answer a question of yours from another thread, yes, we're still in Lawrence. I cannot imagine a better place to live here in the U.S. We've only got about 100,000 people here, but it is ranked as one of the top arts cities, top liveable metro areas, etcetera. There is a huge mix of different kinds of people, including many from other countries (thanks to the university here), and our county was the only one in Kansas to vote overwhelmingly against Herr Feurher Bush.
Not to mention that when we were a triad, the three of us--a guy with green hair and facial piercings, a girl with bright red hair and facial piercings, and a gothed-up girl with pink hair walking down the street being lovey-dovey with each other elicits no negative comments at all. One can regularly see redneck-looking folk hanging out with punks, hippies, and rockabilly afficiandos.
So yeah--Not leaving unless we find a cooler place (unlikely) or unless the unthinkable happens in 2008.

The reason that I'm familiar with it is because I have it. It's pretty cool that you knew about it too; I don't know too many people with it besides myself.
And I'm glad that you love where you live; I am very pleased with where I live as well. You said that you live in a city with only about 100,000 people living in it - well, I live in a town of under 200 people, and I still don't know most of the people in town. ;P The town's name is Wellsville, and it is in PA. And there is NOTHING to do here! If only someone like Kit was around to spice things up a bit...

I completely agree with you. The reason I wondered about this, though, is because he really reminds me of, well, me. He may not have Asperger's Syndrome, but he sure is quirky.

May God bless you in all that you endeavor!
I think he's just quirky and eccentric.
It's hard to be an inventor without having some eccentricity! I rather think inventing things by definition requires thinking "outside the box."
