Hey everyone! I am an aspiring author who hopes to be published...someday. I live in South-Central Pennsylvania, USA, in between Harrisburg and York. I am also a Christian furry, as strange as that may sound, (and no, a Christian furry is NOT an oxymoron)who loves video games, comics, reading, and writing. I can draw fairly well, but I still prefer to look at others' works and compliment them on them (such as your comic here; wonderful job so far, and keep up the wonderful storyline and artwork!). On a final note, my XBox Live Gamertag is the same as my name here, but my real name is Joshua.

Welcome to the fold, man.

Welcome to the fold, man. And... Aspiring author? Cool! Seems that half my friends are either professional fiction writers or getting there. (One member of my writing group just sold her third book--All of them this year. And they want sequels.)

BTW, Shannon is from the Philly area. She doesn't have much to do with the comic anymore, but I ought to point out this post to her.

Thank you!

Thanks, man. Just what kind of writing group is this that you mentioned? And who is the published female author?

That'd be Lane Robins. The first book was Maledicte, and although the sequel is sold, she hasn't chosen a name for it yet, nor for her upcoming urban fantasy novel (about a supernaturally-inclined detective)--which is one of those, "Lane Robins writing as..." things, by the order of her agent and publisher, because of the differences in perceived audience. *rolls eyes* Titles for her upcoming books are major topics of conversation. *laughs*

As for the writing group, it's just a little thing I suggested a few months ago with just three of us, but has now grown to include five. We meet on Wednesday nights. We don't so much critique; we mostly either write, talk about writing, or help each other solve story problems and give one another suggestions and advice.

That is really cool! I'm going to have to look her up. Hey, you know what, that's her book at the bottom of the page!
But let me ask something else, if you don't mind: do you guys literally meet someplace, or do you meet online?

May God bless you in all that you endeavor!

Pardon the spaciness and

Pardon the spaciness and grammar errors--Fever of about 101 right now.

Heh! Yes it is. As for meeting, it's in person--We all meet at my friend Eric's house. He and Lane live in the same part of town, which happens to be near where I pick Shannon up from work in the evenings. We can't meet at Lane's because she has many cats, and I'm deathly allergic to cats (with an asthmatic reaction to them)--As in I have had to go the ER because I couldn't breathe from being around cats.

We all initially met at Kij Johnson's (also a friend) novel workshop a few years back. We lost touch for a while, and then I got back in touch with them. Soon after, I suggested that we should have a "writer's night." There are actually quite a few writers and other creative types here--James Gunn, for example, and Kij (who is not only an excellent writer of literary fantasy, but also just fun to hang out with) lived here until a couple of years ago when she went back to Seattle.

Wait a second - I forgot

Wait a second - I forgot that you guys moved; is your info still right? Do you still live in Lawrence, KS?

And as to your fever - sorry to hear that you're sick, and I hope you get better soon!

May God bless you in all that you endeavor!
