We've got this painting of Blue, and a few other things up for auction with fairly low starting bids on some of them in an effort to make the electric bill and cover expenses for moving into the new place, so you can check here for more stuff--and we'll be listing still more in the next few days. Anyone who wins an auction or uses the buy it now button gets access to the members only themes on the site, meaning you can choose to see the site with or without ads, and in a variety of themes.
As for the painting above--This is an approximately 8x10 painting of Blue by character creator, designer, and original staff artist Shannon Henry. The bidding is starting at fifteen bucks, but it's only a five day auction.
Shan started this painting a few months back, and it is the first (and so far the only) official Blue Crash Kit character painting. It was going to go on the office wall, and we hate to let it go for this price (or at all, for that matter), but times're tough, kids.
The painting is on masonite, suitable for framing (of course), and created in acrylics and prismacolors. After gessoing, she did underpainting in burnt sienna. I don't know that means, but Shannon assures me that it is a good and professional thing to do, and makes it more (in her exact words) "artist-y and stuff."
As an aside, you may be interested to know that Since painting is Shan's real forte, she's considering painting the comic if/when she's ready to resume main art duties.
LOL I fail at auctions
They always seem to happen either when money is at a premium for me, or the demand goes so high I'll get whooped in it.
But I am confident this one should sell well!
