See, I'll have to check with Rob and Shan, because it may be a case of wanting to keep a PG-13 image for everything related to the BCK intellectual property, and I don't have the power to override those permissions.

Cute, suggestive works are posted here plenty -- we've got our pinups, our Panty Pirate, and our bedtime cuddle scenes -- but I'd probably caution against doing anything beyond that, because it's the safest option for everyone involved.

However, it's the reputation of the published works out there that cause a concern. If you don't publish it, and only show it to friends of legal age, in person, I doubt any issues would arise. :)

BTW, I'm gonna directly call Rob's attention to this post so that we can get a definitive answer, k?

Morrigan, I know you already know some or all of this and were just checking to make sure it still stood, but I figured I'd make things as clear as I can for anyone else who might need to know.

My stance on BCK yiff is as follows:

There shall be no official Blue Crash Kit yiff. Ever. Period. Which means that no part of team BCK shall produce such, either while a staff member or later. If fans want to do so, however, we're totally cool with that, just as long as it's clearly labeled as fan art.

The only reasons for this are:

We're trying to keep BCK a PG13 strip with a PG13 image.That's just the way we conceived the strip.

Plus, I like being able to address issues like alternative lifestyles, sometimes subtly (Some people have read the strip for months before realizing the three main characters are in a poly-fi triad, which is part of the point--to show that people with different lifestyles or orientations are just like everyone else) and sometimes blatantly, to a wider audience.

So yeah... We're not prudes or anything. I mean, hey--I've had a project on the back burner that will, if I ever get it off the ground, have some, er... pretty graphic sex and violence (with primarily human characters), and anyone who has looked at what's left of my short-lived photo-comic Lords of the Living Room knows I like my humor served a little twisted on occasion.

Nothing against yiff on my end either. I'm not into it (Hell, I'm not even a furry--I'm just fur-friendly, and really appreciate all of our fans, both furry and otherwise.), but to each his or her own, ya know?
